      5G Network

As of December 2024, Claro Panama had not yet launched a commercial 5G network. However, the telecommunications landscape in Panama was evolving, with other operators like Cable & Wireless Panama (Más Móvil) beginning 5G pilot tests in April 2024. These tests were conducted in a block of spectrum in the 3.5 GHz band provided by the National Public Services Authority (ASEP). The pilot tests aimed to explore the potential of 5G technology in various sectors, including commercial, tourism, and port operations. While Claro Panama had not announced specific 5G trials or testing, the ongoing developments in the Panamanian telecommunications sector indicated a future transition towards 5G technology.
