Epic LTD, currently known as Epic Cyprus, is a telecommunications services provider based in Cyprus. The company was initially founded in July 2004 as Areeba, after being granted the second mobile telephony license by the Cyprus Government. In September 2007, following the acquisition of its parent company, Investcom LLC by the multinational telecommunications company MTN Group, Areeba was rebranded as MTN. MTN Group held the ownership of the company until September 2018, when Monaco Telecom acquired the entire share capital of MTN Cyprus. As part of the acquisition deal, Monaco Telecom was permitted to use the MTN brand name for three years for a commercial fee. In June 2019, Monaco Telecom retired the MTN brand name and rebranded the company as Epic. Epic is currently a subsidiary of Monaco Telecom, which is a member of NJJ Holding.
