Globe Telecom, commonly known as Globe, is a major telecommunications company in the Philippines. It was founded on January 15, 1935, following the Philippine Legislature's approval of Act No. 4150. This act transferred the franchise and privileges of the Robert Dollar Company to Globe Wireless Limited. Over the years, Globe underwent several mergers and name changes, eventually becoming Globe Telecom, Inc. in 1998.
The company's principal shareholders are Ayala Corporation and Singtel. Ayala Corporation began investing in Globe in 1974, and in 1993, Globe formed a partnership with Singapore Telecom, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Singtel. Globe Telecom is listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol GLO.

4G Network
The company's 4G network was launched September 2012 using B3 (1800 MHz). The network was expanded in September 2014 with B41 (2500 MHz), June 2016 with the addition of B28 (700 MHz), and B40 (2300 MHz) in March 2017.
