Orange Poland

Orange Polska, formerly known as Telekomunikacja Polska, is a Polish telecommunications provider that was established in December 1991. The company, a public entity, is traded on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Initially, it was a joint stock company under the control of the State Treasury, following the dissolution of the communist era state-owned PTT entity Polish Post, Telegraph and Telephone. The company began its operations under the name 'TPSA' in 1992. In 1998, the company underwent a change in its ownership structure and began trading on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2000. The Treasury sold a 35% stake in TPSA to a consortium of France Télécom and Kulczyk Holding. By 2002, the consortium had increased its stake by an additional 12.5%. The controlling stake is currently owned by Orange S.A., which had control over 50% of this stake by 2002. The company was fully privatised in May 2010. In 2012, the company was renamed as Orange Polska, aligning with France Télécom's international telecommunications branding.
