Orange Senegal is a subsidiary of the French multinational telecommunications corporation, Orange S.A. The parent company, originally known as France Télécom S.A., was rebranded to Orange on 1 July 2013. The Orange brand originated in the United Kingdom in 1994, after Hutchison Whampoa acquired a controlling stake in Microtel Communications. The company was later acquired by France Télécom in 2000.

Orange Senegal operates within the telecommunications industry in Senegal, providing a range of services including mobile, landline, internet and Internet Protocol television (IPTV). The company has been operational in Senegal under the Orange brand since the global rebranding of France Télécom in 2013. The parent company, Orange S.A., is majority owned by the French government, both directly and through its holding company ERAP, holding a stake of almost 27% in the company.
