3G Network

Plus launched its 3G network in October 2006 using the UMTS 2100 MHz band. The network was upgraded to HSPA+ in June 2009 and DC-HSPA_ in 2010. U900 was added in December 2011 to enhance coverage and penetration. However, as of the end of 2025, there were plans for a complete shutdown of the 3G network. This decision was part of a broader strategy to refarm spectrum and enhance LTE and 5G network capabilities, reflecting a significant decrease in 3G traffic, which had fallen to around 2.5% of total data transmissions by 2023.

    4G Network

Plus began its 4G LTE network deployment in Poland using the LTE 1800 MHz band. The commercial launch of LTE services occurred in September 2012, with initial coverage in major cities. Plus utilised carrier aggregation technologies to enhance network speeds and capacity, achieving download speeds of up to 225 Mbps using 20 MHz B3 and 20 MHz B7 spectrum. By 2016, Plus had introduced 2C CA 300 Mbps LTE-Advanced services, aggregating 20 MHz of band 3 and 20 MHz of band 7 spectrum. The network continued to expand, with additional spectrum acquired in the 800 MHz and 2.6 GHz bands through auctions in 2015 and 2016.

      5G Network

Plus was the first operator to launch a commercial 5G network in Poland. The rollout began in May 2020, using the n38 2.6 GHz TDD frequency band. Initially, the network operated with 100 transmitters in seven major cities, including Warsaw, Gdansk, Katowice, Lodz, Poznan, Szczecin, and Wroclaw, covering approximately 900,000 people. The 5G network offered data transfer speeds of up to 600 Mbps. Plus planned to expand its 5G coverage to include an additional 150 cities and towns, aiming to provide the fastest 5G internet access service in Poland to over 11 million people.
