Republic of the Congo, positioned in Central Africa, has a varied geography from wet lowlands to mountainous terrain. This uneven distribution poses a challenge to the implementation of technology and telecommunications infrastructure. Despite this, the country is making strides in these sectors, with its urban populations, particularly in Brazzaville and Pointe Noire, experiencing enhanced connectivity. The rural areas, however, remain largely disconnected due to the geographical hindrances. Congo has been innovative in seeking solutions, for instance, the use of solar-powered mobile towers to provide telecommunication services in remote areas. In terms of renewable energy, the country's abundant hydropower potential is underutilised, but efforts are being made to exploit this resource. Challenges persist, but Congo-Brazzaville is progressively adopting and developing technologies to bridge the gap.
