EastLink is a Canadian cable television and telecommunications company, operating under the corporate name of Bragg Communications Inc. The company was established in Amherst, Nova Scotia, in 1969 by the Bragg family, marking it as one of the earliest entities to receive a cable license from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC). Over the years, EastLink expanded its footprint through a series of acquisitions, including Halifax Cablevision Ltd in 1985, and several other telecommunications companies such as Amtelecom, Persona, Bluewater, Delta, and Coast Cable. By 2010, EastLink had become the fifth-largest cable television provider in Canada and the largest privately owned cable company in the country. The company remains under the private ownership of the Bragg family.
In 2008, EastLink ventured into the wireline business by acquiring ISN, the only local internet service provider in Prince Edward Island. As of 2020, ISN re-established its presence in the wireline business offering home and business fibre services. EastLink's operations span across nine provinces in Canada, excluding Saskatchewan, with a workforce of approximately 1,500 employees stationed in offices nationwide.
