3G Network
Due to the large geographic area the network must cover, a mix of frequencies were in use. Telus provided 2G GSM services over 850 and 1900 MHz, and 3G UMTS also over B2 (1900 MHz) and B5 (850 MHz) bands supporting DC-HSPA+ technology.

4G Network
4G LTE was launched by the company in partnership with competitor Bell Mobility in February 2012, over the B4 (1700 MHz), later adding B2 (1900 MHz), and B7 (2600 MHz) following successful spectrum auction bids. B5 (850 MHz) LTE is also in use by the network but generally only in the region of British Columbia.
700 MHz LTE is also deployed in partnership with Bell over several bands depending on regional licencing including B12, B13, B17, and B29 (Supplemental DL). B40 (2300 MHz) LTE is deployed in limited areas (B30 is no longer in use).
TELUS launched quad-band (4C) LTE-A services in June 2017, claiming peak data rates up to 750 Mbps. Following successful 4.5G pilots, TELUS has deployed LTE-A Pro with 4x4 MIMO, 256QAM and 5C aggregation with data rates exceeding 1 Gbps. Huawei RAN support any carrier aggregation combination up to 5C.
TELUS announced its intention to deploy NB-IoT (LTE Cat-NB1) as its choice of LPWA network in 2015, with the network activated October 2016.

5G Network
5G laboratory trials have been conducted, with data rates exceeding 29 Gbps. The network was commercially launched in June 2020 using refarmed n66 (2100 MHz) spectrum previously used for 4G. n78 (3500 MHz) mid-band and n71 (600 MHz) low-band were enabled in June 2022, although the rollout gained most momentum during 2023.
