mts Kosovo is a telecommunications company operating in Kosovo. It is a subsidiary of Telekom Srbija a.d. Beograd, a Serbian state-owned telecommunications operator founded in May 1997. Telekom Srbija began providing services under the mts brand in 2015. The company underwent several changes in ownership throughout its history. Initially, it was owned by JP PTT Saobraćaja Srbija (51%), Telecom Italia (29%), and OTE Greece (20%). By 2003, JP PTT Saobraćaja Srbija had become the majority shareholder with 80% of the stake after purchasing shares from Telecom Italia. In 2012, Telekom Srbija became the owner of the 20% share capital previously held by OTE Greece. The company has also expanded regionally, setting up operations in B-H and Montenegro in 2007 and acquiring a majority stake in Dunav banka in 2015, which subsequently changed its name to "mts banka".
